At Calibre Business Integration we recognise that we have an impact on the environment in carrying out our day to day business.
In recognition of this impact we have an obligation to all stakeholders that we interact with such as our staff, clients, suppliers, business partners, to operate in a sustainable manner and minimises environmental impacts.
Calibre Business Integration has a direct impact on the environment in providing our services, through consumption of energy, transport fuel, air transport, waste and natural resources. We also impact indirectly through consumption of third party contractors and services.
Our objective is to leave the smallest possible carbon footprint. This is a process that will require continuous monitoring and improvement. As part of our sustainability policy, we will engage in this evolving process.
Scope
This Sustainability Policy defines the scope, commitments and implementation approach and responsible parties. The creation of this scope will ensure that the objectives described above are met. This Sustainability Policy also covers all business operations and stakeholder interactions that we make through our operations, and consumption of goods and services.
To minimise our carbon footprint, Calibre Business Integration will:
- Ensure minimal excessive use of electricity through energy efficient lighting and switching off computers and other electrical equipment at night.
- Encourage our staff, contractors and business partners to use public transport for travel to and from the office and to clients.
- Encourage our clients to use public transport for travel to and from the office.
- Maintain a recycling policy.
- Seek to engage suppliers and contractors with similar policies of sustainability.
- Use of teleconferencing and video conferencing in preference to air travel whenever possible.
Internal Procedures
Energy Efficiency - We have ensured that all lighting has been switched over to energy efficient lighting and all electrical devices are switched of at night. We have also encouraged our contractors and business partners to do the same.
Recycling – Calibre Business Integration, our staff, contractors and business partners use electronic media in preference to printed media. Where internal media is printed it is done so by printing in black and white, double-sided, two pages per side, on recycled paper using recycled toner.
Staff, Contractors and Business Partners – Calibre Business Integration, our staff, contractors and business partners, all have a policy of using public transport as first preference whenever possible, when travelling to and from clients.
Clients - Our clients are encouraged to use public transport when visiting our office. For interstate clients we all use audio/video conferencing services instead of airline travel whenever possible. We also provide clients with proposals in electronic PDF format in preference to printing and binding.
Suppliers - We have a policy of engaging suppliers who have their own environmental policies whenever possible. An example of this is FAQ Interactive – website consultants who also are accredited under the NoCO2 certification program.
